Shoaib Salim hasn't slept a wink the last few days. The Erin Mills resident's excitement was evident today as he took his oath of Canadian citizenship at a special ceremony held at Burnhamthorpe Community Centre.
Bridge repair costs soar past $10M
Call it $10 million in bridge financing. Spiralling costs have upped the ante on repairs to Burnhamthorpe Rd. bridges over the Credit River and Mullet Creek. The jobs will now set the City back $10.75 million, more than $4 million over the original estimate.
