Walk-a-thon to benefit Tamils

Organizers of this Saturday's sixth annual walk-a-thon sponsored by the Senior Tamils Society of Peel expect about 350 people to attend the three-kilometre walk through the heart of Cooksville.

Today Port Credit, tomorrow the world

Derek Hatfield set sail this morning on his 60ft Spirit of Canada sailboat from the Port Credit Yacht Club in preparation for his journey to sail around the world non-stop, unassisted and alone in the Vendee Globe Race 2008, which starts from France.
