Three Toronto police officers have been named in newly unsealed warrants as part of an investigation into drug use by members of a former drug squad, including a 17-year police officer who now works as a real estate agent in Mississauga.
Former Toronto Police Det. Const. Rob Kelly, who left the force in 2006 and now works for Meadowtowne Realty, pleaded guilty in 2003 to possessing cocaine.
The names of Paul Robert Drury, Nunziato Donato Tramontozzi and Douglas Grant Rose, were publicly released this week after Sun Media and the CBC appealed to the Supreme Court of Canada. Lawyers for the three say they have already been investigated and cleared.
The three have not been charged or disciplined in connection with the investigation, which was conducted by Toronto Police internal affairs and an RCMP task force as part of a sting initiated in 2001 by a tip from a police agent.
