The Erin Mills Eagles edged the Clarkson Sheridan Comets 2-1 to come away with the title in the four-team division, which also featured teams from Alliston and Wasaga.
“The girls have only been together for 12 weeks and they already have garnered respect from several teams in the GTA,” said Erin Mills coach John Downs. “With three rep teams and a select squad at this age level, most clubs would be tapped out, but the Erin Mills Club shows that there is still a lot left to be drawn from in the Mississauga area.”
Tamara Furtado and Amber Monteiro scored for Erin Mills in the final, with goaltender Chloe Wells making some outstanding saves, including a crucial penalty shot.
Other members of the Erin Mills team include Riley Downs, Chelsea Camilleri, Amanda Soares, Sydney Small, Courtney Kowal, Angela Ghousy, Melissa Locquiao, Elena Darrisso, Tori Pozniak, Alexandra Mikell, Kayla Morrone, Christina Puccinelli and Mackenzie King-Bennett.
Downs was assisted by Phil Monteiro, manager Caroline Pozniak Waller and trainer Megan Ogiltree.
